A Photo Journey

New Lens = Puppy model shoot

For the past several months Ashley has been trying to convince me we needed a fisheye lense to add a new dimension to our photography.  I resisted for a while because I read all the web articles saying it’s gimmicky, not a real value, etc…but then said what the heck and we purchased a 10mm fisheye lens last week (*read this as “I’m not sure why I doubt Ashley .. she’s pretty much always right :-) ).

So what better to do with a new lens than experiment with your animals, right?!  After a few photos with the lense we completely fell in love with the results and the fact that it truly did open a new door for what we can offer artistically.  While it’s not for every photo you take, the fisheye definitely has it’s place in our camera bag… here’s a few photos of  Maximus :) (our we think 6 month old quasi Golden Retriever)

Ashley and I had the privilege of photographing Jessica and Jacob’s wedding in Alpharetta, GA.  They say rain on your wedding day brings good luck so snow must bring great luck!  :)  Jessica, Jacob and wedding party were such good sports about braving the cold to get some photos.  (It was less than 20 degrees outside – COLD for Atlanta!)  Here are a few photos from their special day!

Coming soon…

Check back soon!  Fixed Focal’s blog will soon launch – we’ll be highlighting recent projects, weddings, creative adventures… In the meantime, check out our site at www.fixedfocal.com !
